Just built up a nice Heuchera collection and looking forward to the changing autumn colours and two of them appear to have been "shorne off" at the base.There was a little white grub l assume was the culprit , is Provado the answer? And will there be any hope if l replant?

It is Vine weevil's and Provado Vine Weevil killer is what you want or you will lose all your collection.
You can re-root those bits of Heuchera as they re-root well.

You water Provado onto the soil so I don't see how bees would come into contact with it?

Provado is not the answer to anything - it contains thiacloprid which has been linked to the death of bees.
