Since they do not see colour in the same way as we do, the colour of the plant/flower is less important than the amount of nectar/pollen it provides.

They like the sweet scent of Buddleia, mallow, golden rod, thistle etc. that is what attracts them, heavy with nectar & pollen as owdb. says
