Good morning, I had a lovely day in the garden yesterday
but did a very silly thing, the lawn had as usual a good few weeds so sprayed each one with weed killer but THEN decided to READ the instructions ( how daft ) I now
have lots of burnt patches. The weed killer was for everything else but NOT lawns, so what do I do ? also went on the hunt for slugs with a torch last night and saw lots of silver trails but no slugs or snails so where do they go. Thanks for advice.

What weedkiller did you use? If you used a general weddkiller instead of a selective weedkiller that would just kill the weeds and not your grass, then there's not much you can do to save the lawn as it will already have done it's job.

If you used a systemic weedkiller, this is one that is absorbed by the foliage and gets into the roots to kill it leaving the soil unharmed, then you could reseed the dead patches with new seed in about a weeks time. Just give the lawn a good soaking with a hospipe to rinse away any weedkiller before you do.
