My new Glenfidoch rose has thorny stems and are very thorny .
Should this be wondered if it was a wrong label as stems are very thick and really not like my other roses.

It sounds rather like a Burnet rose. 'Glenfiddich?' is a more normal yellow flowered shrub rose.
