How Do I Neutralise Resolva on my garden hosepipe fittings and tap?
Someone helped me in the garden yesterday and sprayed Resolva weedkiller for me on a strip of wasteland outside my garden fence. He wore gloves but the mixture was all over the hosepipe tap and the hosepipe fittings, etc. I have thrown two buckets of soapy water over the tap and I have the end of the hosepipe soaking in a bucket of soapy water. What else can I do? I don't like the thought of handling it but also I don't want my cat to go sniffing at things. Thank you.

Oh so kind of you to reply Snoopdog. I was hoping the soapy water would be helpful.
Yes, thankfully the sprayer is for weedkiller only but the rest of the stuff really worries me.
The cat's not too happy either at being kept in during this glorious weather. May do that for another two days as I'm so scared about her trying to chew a bit of grass through the fence. Happy days of gardening.

Sorry I sent that twice - I have tried to delete - but I can't.

You cat will not eat anything that has weed killer on it as it won't smell right.

I'm confused. Resolva makes more than one product, but most of them are lawn weedkilling treatments. Which one did this person use, do you know? And what was the purpose of using it? I only ask because the active ingredients are useful to know... if the purpose was to kill anything growing on the wasteland, then there are one or two other weedkillers that might have been better to use and much less dangerous for your cat.

I suppose I should also say that if the waste ground is public space, it's actually illegal to use herbicides except under a specific condition, but never mind, I don't suppose there'll be any trouble!

Hi thanks Bamboo. I'll try to put a pic here of the Resolva. Bought last week at a reputable garden centre. We have tried many other products over the years, this is a new attempt. The land is a 3ft strip of waste land behind our garden fence. It sits on top of a 60ft rock face drop. The cat can't go over there as she doesn't climb. We have log roll against the bottom of the fence to keep the weeds away. I was just afraid the cat may try to chew a piece of grass. Going to try to do this pic now. Thanks.
