if you mean seed follow the instructions on the pack. If you have bought a packet with bare roots in then you need to pot them up. Use a multipurpose compost and a pot with enogh room for roots to spread. I use a 5" diam pot usually. Then when planted water well and keep in a sheltered spot, greenhouse/coldframe etc. until growth visible. then when you have clear growth 2-3" they can be planted out in their final places in your garden.
