I simply ignore all the adverts

I usually ignore them too Moon grower, but you would not have been able to ignore Joan Collins a few days ago. I saw her every time I looked at GoY and on every new photo blog and question I looked at. In the end I had to switch off, it was relentless !

Joan Collins better not disturb my GOY page.

For those of you plagued by adverts, do you use google chrome? If not give it a try. Since I switched to chrome I don't get any ads at all.

And for those on Firefox, use AdblockPlus. It stops all these pop-up ads.

all browsers should be enabled to stop pop-up ads, if they are the embedded ads at the top of the page then these are to do with the new cookie rules where if you have been on any shopping site they put what you have been looking at there to try and entice into buying. this is my knowledge of it by what i have been told.

Am I just lucky, I have never had an ad. on Goy, it just has a plain green surround, and I have Google as my home page.

Adverts are a nuisance on everything. I find if we oldies try to alter anything to block things we usually end up putting our foot in it well and truly. I try to do like others do on GOY and ignore them. My husband asked how to get rid of them on his Kindle fire and was told 'not possible', as they are what funds their activities!!! So he has to bear with them.

I used adblock plus ages ago and it really does work, I don't get any ads at all now on this site or any other site.
