living here in the west of ireland and having been stuck in a 3 month cold spell my lawn has turned a pale yellow colour what does this mean and what can i do to bring it back to life.

If you've had lying snow, that can cause this yellow appearance. It will recover eventually, but you can do as Nosey suggests - feed latter half of March or early April.

in spring airate it with a fork,water and feed it and it should come back nicley .grass is very resiliant.
