If they've been sat for a year then they are probably unhappy corms. Look like they are sprouting to me and need to be in pots in a growing medium.

hi,put them in a growing medium or in the ground they are sprouting, then wait for the end result for a nice surprise, but they do look like begonias,,,,bryan

I am about to put them in a pot,, if they were begonias i wouldnt want to put them outside 'cause its pretty cold here...I'll pot them up and keep them frost-free...They are very firm to the touch MG.... Thanks everyone..:>))

They are definately NOT begonias.......in my opinion they are more like glads....or crocosmia....

I don't recognise them but not Crocosmia, they have netted tunics like some crocus.

Hmmm...yes....crocosmia are flatter.....

I still haven't planted them up....I shall do so and let you know....They wouldn't be crocosmia 'cause i am for ever digging them up and burning them...:>)

I think they are the gladioli family, cann't remember the name for the minute. The ones that are white with a purple splosh in the middle & have the lovely perfume.
