Anyone know what moth or butterfly these critters might eventually be?

They are in the process of stripping a few leaves off the silver birch. Only about a dozen of them, but I don't want to get rid of them if they are a valued variety...

The birch leaves will have fallen in a week or two so I would leave the caterpillars to their supper.

Oh, I hope so. They do look similar.

That was my thinking Bulba. I will keep an eye out as to where they settle to pupate.

It's a Buff Tip caterpillar... A moth.

Myron, I think you have it.
Images certainly look the same, oh well, no problem.
I shall still watch with interest.
Nature is fascinating in so many ways.
