I have successfully made some comfrey fertilizer following Monty's instructions but found it crawling with strange creatures that are about quarter to half an inch long with long tails (a bit like fat worms) I've never seen anything like them before - are you able to identify them please - and are they harmless?!

Sound like mosie/gnat larvae to me, also; we have lots in the rain butt. uite harmless to p[lants and they will die when you water them on the plants.

I've made 3 separate lots of comfrey fert and am pleased to say I've had no " creatures" in it at all. It don't half pong though !

hi Veingles, i didn,t see monty don,s recipe could u type it in for me with the diluting amounts as i have comfrey
if there in water, are they black and jump around kind of sideways when disturbed , they are the lava of the mosquito.
