Can you tell me the name of the attached plant,
It seems to grow out of the brickwork in walls in my street, am trying to spread it around the garden, cuttings dont seem to work, and cant see any sign of any seeds.

I was about to ask the same question - what is it? I saw it growing in a bit of rough ground down in Devon and I ripped handfuls out by the root. That was in the Autumn. It has now florished in a pot and only this week I planted it in a little garden ornament shaped like a concrete handbag. I am very pleased with it. Hope you can find the name also hope you can grab handfuls and just plant it in a pot for a couple of months. Sink it in well and deep. Good luck as I found it easy to grow this way.

Hi I think this a campanula.
I am growing campanula Catherine in small hanging baskets on my pergola. They are not quite in flower but when they are I will post a photo of them. The flower is darker blue.

It is Campanula, and most likely campanula portenschlagiana, still sometimes sold as C.muralis. This one's much tidier than C. carpatica, which has much more sprawly flowering stems.

I think I have the sprawly one. It is still nice though in it's little garden handbag. Will take a pic once it's better established. Thank you for your help.

I have this one too..and it has seeded itself in several places in my stone wall..I did try to push some soil in gaps, and plant a small root, but it never worked..windblown seed was much more successful..
Definitely a Campanula..and you need to dig up a piece with roots on,it takes so easily..seed must be miniscule,as I 've never seen any !:o).

I have this Campanula too, it grows everywhere except in the garden!! So pretty, I quite like it in random places :)

They take a while to get going - I bought a small plant in April 2012, and gifted it to a neighbour who was disappointed - but this year it is going great.. (hoping ,eventually he will divide and share!) They seem to be happy in most soils...

Have now found some in pots at my local garden centre,
have put the whole thing in the ground, will see what happens.
