My potato tops in bags are about 2 feet tall from the compost. Is this normal and to what height will they grow? Do you stop them? And if so how?

Mine grew over 1 metre tall last year and I had to stake them up. And there weren't many spuds at the end of the day.I hope yours do better.

All you do now is make sure that the bag is filled with compost and keep it well watered. Potatoes produce a lot of top growth.
