Young apple tree leaves brown squiily pattern on them and dying eventually why?

Ireland Ie

I have two young apple trees of an unknown variety, recently the leaves have developed brown swiggly lines all over and are dying, what might this be?

If you mean lines inside the body of the leaf, this is caused by a leaf miner of some kind - there will be a larvae or pupa inside the leaf which you can't see.Remove affected leaves - not sure if there's a treatment spray for this, used to be Malathion and I'm not sure that's still available.

How do I say thanks?
