Hi,
Does anyone know the name of this Thalictrum? We can't remember the name, it grows to at least 7' every year is very sturdy and never gets blown over during strong winds. It's flowering at the moment here in the North East of England.
Sorry the quality of the image isn't very good!

the only one I know that's even remotely as tall as that is Thalictrum delavayi, said to get five feet in flower. Can't see the flowers clearly so don't know if they're double or not - if so, could be "Hewitt's Double"

Based on your description, it's likely that you have Thalictrum rochebrunianum, which will grow even taller if given full sun and moist soil!
It's a bit of a mouthful isn't it?
