Telekia speciosa

siris

By Siris

Telekia speciosa (Telekia speciosa (Heartleaf Oxeye))

A huge member of the daisy family. The leaves are huge and I cut the lower ones off, to give more light to smaller lower plants.
Might have to come out it really is too big and the flowers don't last that long.

But the insects love it, don't they. Sadly, I had to take mine out for that same reason.

I do like the large flowers and even when the petals drop off they look attractive, the centre boss having a bronze colour.

This is a lovely big flower, really eye catching, Siris. I like the fringed petal effect.

When I see the flowers I keep giving it a reprieve.
