Next door's Pieris was buzzing with bees in the gorgeous April sunshine yesterday.

Thanks Shirley, but they were all very large bees, not Honey bees, although there were lots of them together.

Well captured...

The shrub is in the next door neighbours' against our low dividing wall, so easy to stand on our drive and just snap, no bending, stretching or balancing in the border. And I get the benefit of the shrub and the Bottlebrush bush next to it.

Thank you Gg, I thought you would know. The shrub was covered with similar bees, similar size, all collecting. I did have a small nest of these large bees in one of my bird boxes a few years ago, they are not at all agressive.

What else?

See who else is growing Pieris japonica (Lily of the valley bush).

See who else has plants in genus Pieris.
