Oenothera

By Siris

Oenothera (Oenothera biennis (Common Evening Primrose))

Not long lived plants, often biennial, but seed readily. The right pic is self seeded, probably from my 2 original colours (left).

Love these. Grown some from seed this year, just waiting for the rain (still not appeared, although promised), so I can plant them out. Soil's like a brick so no chance at the moment.
Yours are striking.

I have the lemon, been flowering for a week now and the orange started yesterday. Saving seed from these, they're amazing.

They are amongst the Daylily clumps of green leaves, so adding colour to the 'green sea' until the Daylilies start flowering in ernest.

You are too meticulous with your weeding Dd. People say my garden is lovely, a real cottage garden. Think that's a euphemism for a riot.

You could be right Siris.....

What else?

See who else is growing Oenothera biennis (Common Evening Primrose).

See who else has plants in genus Oenothera.
