Lythrum salicaria (Lythrum salicaria (Loosestrife))

The best this Lythrum has ever been, due to the wet weather this summer.

Brilliant ! Mine has had a good year too, and I've seen good wild ones in the ditches :)

Great - I think this is what has appeared in our pond this summer. Been wondering what it could be - lucky I didn't discard it as a willowherb earlier on before it flowered!

Lovely plant, and it's perennial Sue, so might be even better next year.

Splendid. Must be careful when redoing the basket then - its full of lots of self sown undesirables!

Hywel, from RHSseed originally, 15 years ago?
Sheila, don't need it any bigger/better, just loads of flowers.
Stera, mine has been in the border for years, by the runoff pipe from the conservatory, so only damp after rain, but loads of rain this year. It isn't rampant for me and doesn't self seed, cause I cut off the spent flower heads.

See who else is growing Lythrum salicaria (Loosestrife).

See who else has plants in genus Lythrum.
