Erythronium dens-canis

By Andrewr

Erythronium dens-canis (Erythronium dens-canis (Dog Tooth Violet))

The European dog's tooth violet (so-called because the bulb is shaped like a dog's tooth) needs a cool, moist soil, preferably acid but is more tolerant of some lime than its American cousins. Plant the bulbs deeply and keep slugs and snails at bay
