Is the circular border new since your summer open day? The variegated Cornus will make a pleasing combo with the dark foliage.

Siris we had a standard rose in the middle surrounded by Osteos, decided to add the standard rose to the rose border.......
Thanks Karen, if we can keep the squirrels away from the tulips it should be fine!! at least with a small bed you can chop and change the planting.....

Well, its lovely to see some gardening still going on! I've three roses to plant this morning. A standard 'Munstead Wood' and two shrubs...R.Glauca and 'Scented Carpet'. It won't be very photogenic gardening...but at least its gardening! :) AND.....sunshine today!!

Uncinia rubra is a godsend in the winter....as are all the evergreen grasses. :)
