I had this once and stupidly planted it in an area too wet, it's in plant heaven now. Beautiful by the way.

Do you find the foliage is more green than brown in shade? which would be a pity as the leaf colour is such an attraction, the flowers a bonus.

Phew I was lucky then Dawn this is planted in what was supposed to be a boggy area beside the pond ,lined with pond liner, but the pond never gets high enough to overflow into it! , plant heaven must look pretty good loads from my garden there too ;-)
The foliage was more green when shaded by the tree much darker now the trees gone Siris.

Mmm, I would like brown foliage, too shady further back, plant too tall at front of border.

I planted mine in wet clay, yours sounds safe. I lost my black fennel I grew from your seed Kathy, if you get seed from yours, I would appreciate again. I must remember your rule - always collect seed!

I'll have a look Dawn sure the fennel will have seed ;-)
