I love these Alliums , planted some - but some squirrels loved the bulbs even more

Oh no! I certainly didn't know that squirrels like them! Badgers don't - they tried a few A. 'Purple Sensation' and spat them out. :-/

Lemondog - I had two pots with three in each - all of them flowered last year, only four this time. :-((

Was it behind the sofa - that's usually where I find missing things ;-)

Barbara - I remember you saying last year that yours had not come up very tall and you asked me if mine had come up much. And I remember saying that mine were quite short too. Well, this year they have in fact come up a bit taller - about 1ft or so - and do look sort of better proportioned. So, have yours come up any taller this year? All mine have come back BTW - with 2 extra buds on one of them!! Mine are in the ground.

Yes, Sarah, they are taller - about 18" in fact!!! No extra buds, though. I could plant them in the ground in the autumn, I think, as they're sunk in in pots still. I might add a few more, too, as two have failed.

Strange that...maybe they are happier once established.

They're not really, though, not in pots!
