acer my baby

acer my baby

hi all, once again my acer is looking good, when i bought him a few years back he was about 6inches high, my son tried his hand at growing one, but failed. today he gave me a bag with a clump of soil with a stick in it, he gave me what was left from his acer. i will try to coax some life out of it. scousemonk.(john.)

thanks TT,he is in a quite part of the garden and really doesnt take much looking after. and he even lets my 6 grand-children bash him when playing football in the garden. and not a leaf will fall, thats how i know it is a male bush, he takes all the aggro without a peep. regards.scousemonk.(john.)

Yes, John, I can understand plants and trees becoming 'he' or 'she'.
On my photos of Garrya Elliptica "James Roof", that's definitely a 'he'. Lol.

Good that your acer is so resilient. He probably enjoys the visits from your grandchildren !
