Impe tree in full bloom in Balboa Park...there's several blooming now. They bloom from Winter into early Spring.

I've posted many photos of these trees on GoY. I never get tired of looking at these trees in bloom. Since we don't have many flowering cherries trees growing (not enough cold in Winter) here these are a good substitute tree.

Definitely a good substitute.
A very deep pink.
Whereas you can't grow many flowering cherries in CA,
I guess this tree wouldn't like the cold of England ?

Terratoonie:

They flower in Winter through early Spring and the flowers are very sensitive to cold...however, the tree is somewhat hardy tolerating brief temps to 25 degrees F. / -4 degrees C. They are native to a tropical climate though.
