Bongardia chrysogonum

By Andrewr

Bongardia chrysogonum (Bongardia chrysogonum)

This relative of the berberis is an alpine from dry, rocky places in Central Asia. Grows about eight inches tall from a tuber which is very prone to rotting in wet conditions. Would probably do best in an alpine house unless you can keep it almost dry outside
