This is a very common house plant in most of the U.S.
However, they will never bloom as a house plant.

Do they not bloom as a house plant because they are too small indoors ?

I think they don't get enough strong sunlight and nutrients. They are a full-sun tree...this is what initiates blooming in most plants.
