Wow, hope you have plenty windowsills :) your garden is going to be Amazing..

Every windowsill in the house has seed trays on - I just could not wait any longer - I've got to repot the sunflowers this weekend they're already about 6" high! They'll need some deep pots as I've got to repot them deeper than they are already. I'm looking forward to better success this year - the wind snapped them off - half way through a seed trial I was doing for Gardeners' World (Gardeners' World is a monthly magazine I get and a weekly TV programme). I've bought more seeds again last week and yesterday bought some plants which were reduced to such bargains it would have been criminal to have left them in the shop for someone else to buy! Looking forward to tomorrow morning, once we get back from the weekly shop, the wellies will be on and I'll be sprinting past the start line to the shed....3....2.....1....here I go.............

You better start sowing soon or you won't have time to get them all in. Hope they all come to fruition. Will you have room for all of them or like me will you be supplying friends and neighbours with the excess?

Most of my plants can't go into the ground until June, so I have some time left.
I give away some of my seeds/plants. I wish I had some die hard gardener friends who could appreciate them like I do!

I've managed to convert a couple of friends to gardening. I took some spider plants, tomato plants and other seedlings into work a while ago - as far as I kow they're all still going strong. If anyone asks me a garden related question at work - I go off the rails and end up talking gardening for the rest of the day with such enthusiasm. My little sister is well hooked too! I've even told my mum about this site - she checked out my photo album on here and 'low-and-behold' I had a text-photo yesterday of some raised beds they're building to try and become veg-self-sufficient this year! I was so impressed! I've told her to become a member of this site - then if I can't answer her gardening questions, there'll be someone on here who can! Gardening is like a disease - very contageous! When my mum phoned on Friday night we ended up talking about gardening, how many seedlings I have coming up in the seed trays and pots on the window sills and what seeds I was going to plant and where they were all going to go. She thinks my little sister and I inherited our gardening knowledge from our grandad. He was a FAB gardener - sadly he died 21 years ago, but not a single day goes by without him popping into my thoughts. He gave us a little patch of unused garden to cultivate, we used to sneek into the greenhouse and pick the baby tomatoes - he always wondered why he didn't have many tomatoes! The rhubarb and gooseberries, the veg and the rose beds, all tended with such care.He taught us so much about growing our own stuff. Thanks grandad x

What a great gift your grandad gave you-the love of gardening...
A gift that keeps on giving.
