This is lovely Janette. How to you ensure the bigger, birds don't get the robin's meal worms?

Janette so meal worms are the answer are they, I noticed The Range had a lot for sale last week, not getting enough birds in the garden, I think too many cats use our garden as a walk way.....

I had a robin in the garden this morning, that is until a blue tit chased it off.
I don't know if it was a particularly brave blue tit or a particularly wimpish robin.

~robins and Christmas are imprinted in the British Psyche from birth!BB
I have trouble with the starlings and collared doves eating the mealworms~
they also plough through the loose peanuts~ just as well I have a big sack!

True Arlene. We hide mealworms in cracks and crevices around the pond for the little ones..seems the starlings and blackbirds just too lazy to seek them out ! lol

I'm going to hide some today BB - for the wren too, hopefully.

Only a few minutes ago Dawn,a little wren went into our hollow apple tree trunk, and got 4 mealworms which we had hidden there ! It does work !
