these mallards made me smile, the two males were sticking close to this little female, think they were thinking ahead to "Mating Time" LOL

Last year a pair of mallards nested in our garden,but had to spend a lot of time shooing unwanted suitors away.The female used to run behind our legs for protection lol

The ducks on the village pond are busy 'pairing off' (give or take one or two!). Hopefully they will choose my front garden to nest in again - it was fascinating to watch them.

I envy you Gee would love them to nest in my little patch,although I dont think Polly would take to kindly to them, ah well we can watch them on the canal which is only a few mins away, ut would love to see some pictures of them if they nest with you again,
