You have a lot there Eileen , do they eat all the bird food before Benny and the others can get their share ?

luckily Benny and all the smaller birds still manage to get whats theirs before the starlings come down

I have had them eat mosty ground spill but they have attacked the feeders here once in a while...like ground seed best it seems for the most part..I love watching them going to roost in the evenings..I call there evening wing dance... bird balloons..it is magical...

They're great at cleaning up after other creatures, but a bit on the greedy side I think. Good pic though.

Eileen did you ever see what huge flocks of starlings did over Rome ?? !

i watched a tv prog called Swarm, it was on for the last two sundays
they showed the starlings in Rome on that. it was amazing looking at them

ciara saw an unusual bird today when she was out and about , she tried to get a pic with her phone but it flew off so she had a look in my bird book and recons it was a waxwing. hoping she sees it again and manages to get a photo

Could well have been Eileen as large numbers are supposed to be around this year.if she thinks it had a crest on its head,could well have been.Its a beautiful bird...
