Much better looking than My Cuttings FF :) Mine are much smaller :/

Size is'nt imortant, they will fly away when the weather warms up and days lengthen, the main thing is to keep them green, and water only when they show they need it, and to start feeding only when they start to put on new growth,

Yes some definatly pull through winter less stressfully than others.
the ones in the cold greenhouse have totaly defoliated but are still alive.

I have some Ginger plants in the cold one that have died back, but i am hopeing they will come again in the spring. never grown these before so if anyone has any advice on these please let me know,
