Sorry Amy, just thought, on sale Thursday - was a day ahead of myself! You can check their website. Not really worth building yourself at that price I wouldnt have thought.

Noooo Dawn !

Ha ha BB - I just can't ask my John to do any bird box building at the mo - he's got to set a 50 foot long hedge when it arrives, I daren't ask him! So, I'll have to go to Lidl or risk divorce, ha ha.

Thanks for letting me know Dawn , we did get two nice new ones the other week , they were on offer at a garden centre £9.99 each if you bought one you had one free , so thats about the same really :o)

We have made some before BB , it,s fun to do something like that and very rewarding when a little bird chooses your very own box to set up home in :o)

I'm interesting in the robin boxes.

Yes Dawn , you must save hubby,s strength for the big jobs , I think I saved to many big jobs for my hubby he is recovering from a Hernia operation that he had xmas week ... lol ...no thats not funny is it !
What kind of hedging are you having ?

13 Jan, 2009

Yes Amy, I need his strength, I stack the jobs up for him that I can't manage! Hope your husband is OK after the Hernia op, poor him. I guess he will have lots of jobs waiting for him for when he's recovered, bless.
We're setting a beech hedge.

I have loads of jobs waiting it has been so hard not being able to ask him to help me , it makes you realise how difficult it would be if you were on your own !

I love a beech hedge , lucky you !

13 Jan, 2009

I know Amy, I always think that, some jobs are just too heavy. Yes, I've always wanted a beech hedge but I've been impatient in the past and wanted something instant. Should be good for the birds too for nesting and then of course the beech nuts.
