Played golf once were the salt water types came up on to the golf course.

Looks a bit too close for my liking .....

This one was a ways away and down in a swampy area lower than the trail. I cropped the picture so that you could see him better. They look heavy, but can move fast when they want to. So I know to keep my distance. He was just trying to catch some afternoon sun out there.

When we stayed in South Carolina there were lots of them in the creeks near us. We were told that one lady got too close and her small dog got eaten! Best to keep your distance.
