Mike, your house reminds of some of the homes in Spokane, Wa. In fact, I had to look again at your location. Your yard is much bigger than most of the ones in Spokane. It does look cold with the snow and all. Our high was 63 degrees today. I was out pulling weeds till I got stung by a wasp then I gave it up.

Hi Skippy... Yes, the style of my house is found throughout the country. I did some research and it was originally a kit house that you could buy in 1922 from Montgomery Ward. My lot is large. It's a lot and a half. The people to my right have the other half of the lot that was in the middle. That's why the house sits to the left of my property. Happy New Year !

Hi Mikec, -12 c sounds pretty cold to me but Zone 5b doesn't mean a thing to people living in England.
How cold can it get??

It can often go down to -10c to -15c but we've had it go down as low as -25c a few times.
