I think you mean eday, that is a seperate island. I live on Mainland which is the largest island in the Orkneys. I am pretty sure you would enjoy orkney, especially if you like fishing. the lochs are full of wild brown trout and the fishing is free. sea trout are quite common, and of course there is sea-fishing. no fishing licenses are needed
