How pretty and unusual. What materials did you use?
I also wish you lots of peace.
Currently it's very peaceful for me here as hub and 3 children away for one more night - oh wow!

This was actually one I got for free from the store - when we unpacked it one of the letters had been made in reverse! I took it home and reshaped it and voila! It's made of artificial white berries and silk leaves hung on sheer white ribbons.

Was it the (e)? or maybe the (c)?

Did I do that bad a job?! It was the last 'e'. Hey, at least it was free!

No dear not really it's just I had the other (e) to compare it to. Free? Since when does a store give things away free?

The store I work at gives the staff the option to take home anything defective or sometimes surplus food samples. Right now I'm working through a pile of six different flavours of shortbread cookies, maple fudge, maple cranberry fudge and gingerbread fudge. AND they pay me!

Can I have a maple cranberry fudge cookie, sounds tasty. I thought most store either send then back or dump them into a dumpster or if okay to recycle give the to a food bank. I buy old beat up and bruised bananas by the bags full at discount for banana loaf.

It's a very small gift and gourmet food store. I'll post a picture.

Thanks Gillian you are a darling. Also why I have you I saw lots of damage on the news to just about everything out there by winds, flooding, etc... Were you ok where you are?

31 Dec, 2008

We weren't affected too much here, just really windy (blew our barbeque over!) but lots of places lost power from things like trees falling on power lines. The rivers seem to have gone back to a safer level now so we should be good until the annual January thaw!

Could it be passing wind? lol! seriously glad you were unscathed. My BBQ is well anchored down by a chain and 1 foot or more of snow as seen in my back garden photos.
