Welly-wearing with Kilts is an Ancient Scottish Tradition.

Possible site of the very first Welly Olympics, Terratoonie?

Do I need my field glasses?

I presume David, you were practising your Olympic cartwheeling over this sign ?
Were you wearing the traditional kilt of the ancient Olympians ?
Are you saving the cart-wheeling photo for a Christmas Special ? :o)

Gilli, Catfinch, polish up the binoculars....

I have mine ready TT, along with optic cleaning wipes in case the mud from the wellies splashes up onto the lenses as they cartwheel by.

Oooooo..I had not thought of that...Gilli...I will have to remember to bring a pack of them too....

You girls on the other side of the pond are so efficient.
I am very impressed. :o)

David, I hate to be critical, but where is the mound?

"Artificial mound created by earth brought in the boots of lords swearing loyalty to their King." Or is this some Scottish dig as to the lack of soil ...

I think I will leave it there.

Ho,Ho, Skyline! I do have pics showing the coronation stone (replica) and small church atop that mound. Now, of course, it is a grassy knoll, landscaped with 19thc introduced species, e.g. rhododendrons and conifers, and albino peacocks decorate the slopes. An historical version of "Extreme Home Makeovers", if you like.

So sorry about albino peacocks and rhododendrons. Where is the respect?

Moot or Boot Hill deserves more.

Poetry or native Scottish plant landscape ideas.

Hmmm....may be able to include a pic and a bit of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" eventually, but still not the reality!
