So this gardening thing is not just a personal obsession...it's genetic!! It is so great that your gm is still in love with her plants... hope I'm still around and still know my own name if I should be so fortunate as to reach my nineties! Hello Gran! Congrats!

You're correct gardening is genetic in my family. Most of my grandparents and and parents and other family members are avid gardeners. A lot of my family in Hawaii have the most interesting and easiest plants to grow, because of the perfect tropical weather.

My grandmother is still going strong and still loves her plants.

Perhaps it's the fact that you are caring for something other than yourself, that focus on your garden keeps a person ticking along.. What a dream that would be...to garden in a tropical paradise. Must be good karma~!
