Are these trees inside or outside the animal enclosures?
I guess if you'd included a few animals it would give a better idea of size.
Maybe I should be pleased you photographed the trees, and not "ask for more" Lol

great variety of vegetation in that spot...I love the San Diego zoo..been there several times...I like the Phoenix zoo, too but if you want to see the animals, don't go in the summertime...

These trees are outside the animal enclosures.

As a rule I don't like Zoos...I don't like the fact of animals in enclosed areas. I probably wouldn't go to the San Diego Zoo if it wasn't a World-Class Botanical Garden.

Where I go to see animals is the San Diego Wild Animal Park, it is located 30 miles north of where I live. At the San Diego Wild Animal Park the animals are allowed to roam free in a huge area...it is also over 3000 acres verses the 100 acre San Diego Zoo.

I'll be going there soon...as soon as the weather cools down. It gets extremely hot out there, and typically during the Winter it is the hottest spot in the United States or our state.

I agree. It's better when animals have more freedom.
The Wild Animal Park sounds great.
I hope you get a chance to visit when temperatures cool down. :o)

There's some very interesting plants at the San Diego Wild Animal Park also.
