We resisted altering the photo colour because this was exactly as it looked. The whole garden was aglow!

Just come across this picture, stunning, from an ex west midlander.

My husband was from Southampton, and one of my sons went to uni there. The soil at my parents-in-law garden was so different to what we have up here in the West Midlands. It was gravel, quick draining and very difficult to weed. Here, we have sticky clay and hardly any stones.

We were from Kinver? so sandy soil, now here we have a mixture heavy and wet on one side of the garden and lighter and much finer on the other side, I wish we had known about your garden when we were in the midlands, we would have loved to see it, perhaps when we visit Kinver again we will have to look you up.
