Areca triandra - Triandra Palm

Areca triandra - Triandra Palm (Areca triandra)

This palm is starting to become popular...however, it has to be placed in a protected spot in shade or semi-shade.

These trees are relatively inexpensive only $25.00 for a 3 gal plant about 4 or 5 feet tall.

Terratoonie, this picture was taken in the parking lot of the Catamaran Resort.

Marguerite, I think this palm would grow much better where you live.
It prefers a rain forest climate. It will grow only in the mildest areas of San Diego in shade with copious amounts of water.
