wild flowers on the Apache Indian Reservation

wild flowers on the Apache Indian Reservation

This picture was taken on February 28,2008. I have to travel through the Apache Indian Reservation to get from Clifton AZ to Phoenix AZ. I thought that these beautiful orange wildflowers made the mountains look like they were on fire. What do you think?

Beautiful Skippy, wonder what the Apache Indians named them? Ian has
always been so interested in the Native American way of life.

Those flowers look to be lava flow also, course I've never seen a flat volcano. Or maybe rust?lol

Hadn't thought about it but you are right. I prefer the lava flow to the rust, however.
