Hyacinths

It always amazes me how they grow like that ... lovely shade of blue.

I love the blue ones best of all.

Hywel, as wild Hyacinths were probably blue, like Bluebells, that maybe why they are probably the first to flower. Lovely flowers though! The ones my daughter gave me for Christmas have now finished though there is actually a secondary stem with buds coming out of one of the bulbs that has finished flowering. 😀

It's nice to know you have a second flower coming too. I think that is unusual.

My mother bought that little fellow for me years ago Klahani. I have another one as well, that sits with his legs dangling over the side, but his head has broken off. I must get it mended.

Oh that's a pity, Hywel.. sorry to hear that. Looked like it was going to be a real vivid colour too.

I was disappointed but there may have been something wrong with the bulb.

Yes, I've had it happen on some of mine. Most years I have a few on the balcony & occasionally this happens to one or two flowers!
