Is this the place where there are lots of holy places and Celtic crosses? Connected with Saints? I seem to remember a tower with a door up high to repel baddies. We went there on one of our visits to Ireland.... it was beautiful.

Hi Irish
Is this the one they call the Guinness lake-we have photos taken a few weeks ago when we were in Dublin celebrating my sons 40th.
We had a great time-went to the Guinness and Jamesons breweries and had a meal at Thunder Road surrounded by motorbikes.
Of course we came home with samples!

glad you had a good time Arlene, Lough Tay is known as the guinness lake, its pretty near to Glendalough.
ahhhhhhh had many a good night in Thunder Rd restaurant, good food, drinks and craic .
