Ariolimax columbianus

Ariolimax columbianus

The Pacific Banana slug in my tomato pot. One of the largest slug in the world and is native to BC. The Banana slug is considered a good slug. By consuming dead organic matter they contribute to decomposition and the nutrient cycles and are an important aspect of the ecosystem (so is said). They can live up to seven years in the wild.

Now I think it looks amazing just goes to show how different we are. Hywel ;o)

if it doesn't eat live plants that is good but of it munches plants it will be very destructive.
