Tried these on the off-chance and it worked! Phlox stolonifera (blue) and creeping phlox 'Temiskaming'. I like the colour contrast together in the greenhouse. Must try it in the garden.

Well, all the cuttings I took rooted! Ended up with more than I knew what to do with! I liked both of them in the garden and didn't want to lose them. They're a bit hit and miss in my borders!

I'm learning not to be too hasty with cuttings. I took various 'bits' in the Autumn, thought they were just dead twigs in the Spring, and have discovered some green on them recently. That surprised me. Learn something new...

I find they can be hit and miss as cuttings, some years good results others abject failure.
