This is a nice feature, Julia. Looks really good with the moss on top! I do love moss admittedly..moss and lichen. What colour will your alliums be? OH planted several bulbs AGAIN!! This year is looking hopeful..he spotted some flower bulbs in middle at the bottom of..two plants!

I do like natural stone structures or old millstones etc. especially with moss/lichens. this wouldn't be out of place in my garden

I like the moss on top of the staddle stone. I have a similar lid, made from the remains of builders concrete mix left in a bucket. I painted it red and put white spots on it al la Fly Agaric. It sits on top of a stone pot to house a transformer for my pond pump.
