Gladiolus nanus 'Volcano'

Lovely to see such colour so early in the year.

I got these in the fall, and they came up and are finally flowering.

I have several of these but not this variety. This is glorious.

It is not what you think of in a traditional Gladiolus. I have a couple more of the species types about to open.

To be honest I am not a Gladiolus lover ,but this one is absolutely astonishing!

I am not a fan of the tall hybrids, but the species and short ones are much better.
