Fig growing over the compost bins.

The garage wall is warm and the area is sheltered. Planted 2 seasons ago.

Gosh the foliage looks good, that must be its proximity to the nutrients from the compost, hope that's not in lieu of fruit.

It's a young plant, Siris, but plenty of fruit on it.

Very nice, looks a good healthy plant. You’ll like figs then, Ange!

Thanks, ladies. Monty was telling us how to take cuttings so I shall try that.
It was a cheap plant from a supermarket, so good value. growit for the leaves - not keen on the fruit.

I can understand you growing it for the leaves, Ange. They are impressive. To be honest, I’ve never tried figs.

I love figs. I had 11 figs from my plant this year (in a tub in the conservatory) 0ne each day with my muesli when they were ripe.
